Johann Peterka is an Austrian illustrator from Vienna, born 1949/1950. His illustration are adorning may Pern books by German publisher Heyne. He also collaborated on a map of Pern that s depicted in the German Pern books. He has a gallery on www.epilogue.net that also show work he has done for Anne McCaffre novels, some of them are pictured here. For other work by Johann please visit the gallery on epilogue.net. Johann described his style as something between Rembrandt and Mickey Mouse. In the future I will try and scan some of his work for the earlier Pern novels and put it up here.
